4 January 2003. A new beta release of Comwin 3.31 is made available for download from Abrasive Software’s
download page.
This release clears fixes a minor problem with the installation program and removes some bad data from the demonstration database, left over from a bug fixed in an earlier release.
This seems to be the best release of Comwin ever. We will probably move it to the Comwin site, and make it the latest official version, as soon as we have a beta version of Comwin 4.00 ready for download.
20 September 2002. A new beta release of Comwin 3.31 is made available for download from Abrasive Software’s download page.
This release clears up some problems with the installation program under Windows 98, and fixes a bug in the Article quantities window that made it difficult to add quantity information for new articles.
Over the following few weeks, all the documentation on Abrasive Software’s
Comwin support page is updated with information about the latest release and the layout of the page is totally changed to make it easer to find what you want. Previously the links to the documentation were grouped by release. Now, they are grouped by document type. On 2 November 2002, a new statistics file is uploaded to both web sites to make it easier to test the demonstration versions of Comwin.

17 June 2002. Comwin announces the availability of Beta versions of Comwin version 4.00 on CD-rom.
Version 4.00 of Comwin has the same functions as Version 3.30, but, was developed with Access 2000 instead of Access 97.
The most noticeable result of this change is that the setup program for the runtime version is much larger, 97Mb instead of 17Mb. This may make it impractical to offer it for download from the Internet. We can also make a setup program that works on computers where Access 2000 is already installed. This is only about 23Mb. We hope to offer versions of it for download soon.
In the meantime, if you would like to try a beta version of Comwin 4.00, send an e-mail to Orders@abrasive.se, including your name and address, and saying which setup program you would like, the big runtime version, or the smaller setup that needs Access 2000 to run, and we will send you a copy on CD, free of charge.
1 May 2002. Our Swedish business partner, Abrasive Software AB, announces the closure of its Gothenburg office and consolidation of its Comwin support and development operations in its head office in Stockholm.
In a major reorganisation, designed to improve internal communication and customer service, as well as to reduce costs, Abrasive Software’s Gothenburg office will close on 19 July 2002. All Comwin development and support will in future be taken care of in its head office in the heart of Sweden’s capital city, Stockholm.
